Furthering the mission to grow in service to God, church and people, Prairieview Lutheran Home/Faith Place invites and challenges you to help support and extend this ministry of the church through annual membership in The Friends of Prairieview.
The Friends of Prairieview is a group of loving people who are concerned that elderly persons have the quality Christian care they need and deserve; and that Prairieview will be strong for service in the generations to come. They express their concern through an annual leadership gift of $100 or more. All gifts currently are used to fund the Benevolent Fund.
In addition to financial support, The Friends of Prairieview members have the opportunity, and are encouraged, to help this ministry:
- as good-will ambassadors, spreading the good news about Prairieview's ministry with people;
- by remembering the ministry in prayer;
- by encouraging others, through their own example and involvement, to support PLH-FP;
- by assisting people in making use of this ministry as the need and opportunity arises in their lives.
Friends of Prairieview receive a number of benefits in appreciation for their help:
- an attractive plaque, personalized with their name;
- listing in the annual honor roll of The Friends of Prairieview members;
- an annual festive get-together of members;
- tax savings, to the limit of the law, for The Friends of Prairieview gifts;
- above all, the deep satisfaction of knowing they are contributing to the health, security, happiness, usefulness and fulfillment of Jesus' word in Matthew 25:50 - "Truly as I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of my brethren, you did it to me."

The Prairieview Auxiliary, currently a group of over 300 volunteers, invites you into their mission of enhancing the care and lives of Prairieview residents thru special projects and fund raising efforts. If interested, please contact us and we will put you in touch with individuals who will instruct you further.
One of the highly successful endeavors of the Auxiliary is the Fall Festival held every year in early September, the first week-end after Labor Day:
Capturing the romance of days gone by, our two day Fall Festival will give you a welcome escape from the stresses of modern-day life. Relax while enjoying our speciality fish dinner on Friday and/or the Pork Chop meal on Saturday. Stroll through the many booths featuring crafts, books, garden produce, etc. Allow your soul to be stirred with the talented musical groups performing throughout the two day event. Visit the "quilt" tent. You're sure to admire and appreciate the hours of work put in by church groups and other individuals who complete the many quilts during the year. Saturday afternoon is highlighted with the quilt auction. Check our calendar for exact times and dates. Use our location site for directions. Plan on meeting us at Prairieview.
