What Our Faith Has Built….

Over a quarter of a century ago, a group of progressive Danforth residents recognized the indelible need for a residential center to provide Christian care for their aging loved ones and for those of others. With their vision and spirituality to guide them, these determined souls rallied area Lutheran churches and their congregations to embrace their cause and formed “Lutheran Home for Aged Development Corporation” in 1971.

With open hearts and undeterred by the momentous feat before them, the founders reached out to friends and family for their financial support. In less than five months, enough money was gathered to advance to the groundbreaking of Prairieview Lutheran Home and to the launch of their dream.

Today, nestled on 9.5 acres of rolling farmland and Midwestern meadows, Prairieview Lutheran Home has expanded to include three companion sites: Luther Place, Prairie Haven, and Faith Place. Providing a continuum of Christian living care for senior adults, all are regal examples of what faith can accomplish and prayers can bestow.

All of our nursing centers are Medicare and Medicaid certified and are staffed by over 180 employees, the majority of whom have been with us for over five years. On-site physical, occupational, and speech therapies are also available.
