Karie learned about the importance of excellence in long-term care when she spent days as a little girl at a skilled nursing facility with her mom, who is a nurse. Karie’s grandpa lived with Alhzeimer’s. She says, “I wish I would have know what I know now about dementia.”
Through her employment at Prairieview, Karie has had an opportunity to educate herself on dementia. She shares this knowledge through support groups, presentations and workshops in the community.
As the Director at Faith Place, Karie is passionate about “making sure our residents are treated with dignity as people because they can’t speak for themselves.”
When not at Faith Place, Karie enjoys spending time with her family on their 10 acres full of animals like horses, dogs, cats and more.
